Help Face to face support for children
There is a wide range of support for neurodivergent children, young people and their families in Leeds. You DO NOT need a neurodevelopmental assessment or formal diagnosis to access the services below.
Leeds Local Offer
The Leeds Local Offer provides information for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their parents or carers. It shows what you can expect from services such as your school or college.

Little Hiccups
Little Hiccups is a Leeds-based support group set up by parents who have children with additional needs and disabilities. They offer activities for under-16s such as family fun days, as well as support for parents and carers.

SNAPS Yorkshire
SNAPS Yorkshire offers activities such as football and day trips for children and young people with additional needs. SNAPS welcome children and young people up to the age of 16, but the majority of children who attend are aged 10 and under.

Leeds ADHD Support Group
The Leeds ADHD Support Group meets on the last Thursday of every month between 7pm and 9pm at Inkwell Arts in Chapel Allerton.

ZigZag Autism Services
ZigZag Leeds is an autism support group run by autistic parents of autistic children. They have activities such as trampolining sessions and a book lending library.

People in Action
People in Action run a weekly face-to-face group for LGBTQ+ people with autism and/or a learning disability where you can meet other autistic LGBTQ+ people to share experiences and get support.

Autism Angels
Autism Angels is a charity based in Harrogate where you can go to meet other young people with autism, spend time on a farm with horses, and take part in horse riding therapy sessions (for a fee).

Leeds Mencap
Leeds Mencap is a charity for people with learning disabilities, and they also welcome autistic individuals. They have fortnightly youth clubs where you can meet other young people and take part in activities.

West Yorkshire Keyworker Pilot
The West Yorkshire Keyworker Pilot is a service set up by Barnardos for autistic children and young people who are currently in specialist inpatient settings or at risk of admission. They can offer you disability advocacy to help you be fully involved in decisions made about your care and support.

Leeds ABC Group
Leeds ABC have a youth group for autistic people aged 11-18 on Wednesday evenings, where you can make friends and take part in games and activities. There is a weekly cost of £5.

West Yorkshire ADHD are there to support anyone affected by ADHD; this includes both adults and children with or suspected of having ADHD, and also their parents/carers and siblings.
